Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
- Provide technical support to VA medical staff and resolve complex IT issues
- Coordinate system upgrades and ensure compliance with federal IT standards
- Lead cross-functional IT projects and vendor management initiatives
- Conduct security assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Maintain documentation for IT policies, procedures, and system configurations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Federal IT experience preferred (GS-11 equivalent or higher)
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent cybersecurity credential
- Proficiency in network administration (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
- Knowledge of federal IT frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
