Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach investigations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to protect classified information
- Monitor network traffic using SIEM tools and analyze security alerts
- Create security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security regulations (CUI, PII)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in security tools (Splunk, Qualys, Tenable)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of federal IT security policies and procedures
