Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols for critical infrastructure systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response plans for security breaches and cyber threats
- Collaborate with federal agencies to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Train personnel on security best practices and regulatory requirements
- Monitor network traffic using SIEM tools to detect anomalous activities
- Manage encryption systems and access controls for sensitive data
- Document security policies and procedures in accordance with federal guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and penetration testing
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
