Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity protocols for federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Monitor security operations center alerts and respond to incidents
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
- Develop security awareness training for federal employees
- Collaborate with cross-agency cybersecurity teams on threat intelligence
- Document security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years experience in IT security with federal/government sector
- CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in risk assessment frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and firewalls
- Strong analytical skills and incident response expertise
