Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of our internal networks while providing top-tier support to state employees. You will play a crucial role in modernizing our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for state employees.
- Ensure data security and compliance with state regulations.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve IT infrastructure efficiency.
- Document system configurations and provide technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
