Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for government staff.
- Monitor and maintain server infrastructure and data centers to ensure 99.9% uptime during weekend operations.
- Perform system backups, patch management, and security updates outside of regular business hours.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new workstations and peripherals.
- Document technical incidents and resolutions in the government service management database.
- Collaborate with the full-time IT team to resolve escalated issues and ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common office software suites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays as required by government mandates.
