Responsibilities
- System Administration: Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) for federal clients.
- Cybersecurity Support: Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues to ensure minimal downtime for agency operations.
- Network Optimization: Analyze network performance metrics and optimize infrastructure to ensure high-speed, reliable connectivity.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure the timely delivery of hardware, software, and maintenance services.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, incident reports, and change logs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a government or corporate environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA certifications are highly preferred.
- Clearance: Active or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is mandatory for this role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
