Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security controls for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop security policies and procedures for classified data handling
- Coordinate with cross-agency teams on security initiatives
- Provide technical guidance to non-security personnel
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Experience with Windows/Linux hardening
- Familiarity with FISMA compliance requirements
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance if not already held
