Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant cybersecurity frameworks for SSA's critical systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal infrastructure
- Lead incident response protocols for security breaches and cyber threats
- Develop security awareness training programs for 15,000+ federal employees
- Manage encryption protocols and identity access management systems
- Collaborate with DHS CISA on national security initiatives
- Generate detailed compliance reports for OMB and congressional oversight
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in federal IT security roles (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance within 30 days
