Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VA network infrastructure and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and implement IT solutions for veteran service applications
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VA staff nationwide
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration projects
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Document system configurations and update technical documentation
- Lead IT system upgrades and patch management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD-approved credential
- Proficiency in network management (Cisco, Juniper) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Demonstrated experience with ITIL service management principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
