Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain secure federal IT systems including network infrastructure and databases
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran health information
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on VA systems
- Coordinate system upgrades and compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system integration
- Document system configurations and maintain technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Familiarity with VA-specific systems (VistA, CPRS) preferred
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
