Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the federal network infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain advanced security protocols and firewalls to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Manage and configure enterprise-level security tools and monitoring systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA and NIST standards.
- Document security incidents, analysis reports, and system configurations for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in information systems security, network administration, or a related IT field.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
