Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols and firewalls to protect federal information systems from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Monitor system logs and network traffic to detect suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal hardware and software infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) and agency policies.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and authentication processes securely.
- Document technical procedures, incident reports, and system configurations for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Clearance: Must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance (current clearance is highly preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
