Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic 24/7 to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats, intrusions, and anomalies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management for critical systems during off-peak hours.
- Execute incident response procedures to contain and mitigate security breaches.
- Document security events, analysis reports, and remediation steps in accordance with federal standards (NIST).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during shift handovers to ensure continuous operational awareness.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA and DIACAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance (TS) with Polygraph is required.
- Certification: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Proven experience in network security monitoring and incident response.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (typically 10pm - 6am or 11pm - 7am).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
