Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT systems including network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Implement and maintain compliance with NIST and FISMA regulations for classified/unclassified data
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA-specific applications (VistA, EHR systems)
- Lead system migration projects while maintaining zero downtime for critical veteran services
- Develop disaster recovery protocols and conduct regular security audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT service delivery
- Document technical procedures and train staff on new technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT infrastructure management
- Active Security+ CE certification and CISSP preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments
- Proficiency in ITIL service management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with FedRAMP compliance requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory compliance
