Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified/unclassified networks
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response activities for security breaches and cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into IT project lifecycles
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and agency stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT security, network administration, or cybersecurity
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Experience with federal security protocols (NIST, FISMA, CUI)
- Proficiency in network security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
