Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessments
- Design and implement secure network architectures compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Manage cloud infrastructure migrations to AWS/Azure with zero-trust security frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to develop IT continuity plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Conduct security audits and provide technical recommendations for system hardening
- Mentor junior IT staff and develop cybersecurity training programs
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT systems with 3+ years in cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT projects and stakeholder communications
