Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure systems
- Manage cloud platforms including AWS and Azure with federal compliance standards
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff
- Develop disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies
- Ensure all systems meet FISMA and NIST regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with federal IT systems
- Active CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in cloud architecture and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of VA-specific IT systems (VistA, EHR)
- Secret security clearance required
- Experience with ITIL framework and IT service management
- Demonstrated project leadership for federal IT deployments
