Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including cloud platforms and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and implement disaster recovery protocols ensuring 99.9% system uptime
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national IT modernization initiatives
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments for federal compliance
- Mentor junior technicians on federal IT standards and procedures
- Lead system integration projects for SSA's citizen-facing portals
- Document technical procedures and maintain compliance with FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud platforms and enterprise networking
- GS-12 level experience with federal procurement processes (FAR/FAR)
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls
