Job Summary
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the department's mission-critical technology infrastructure. You will ensure data integrity, provide technical support to staff, and implement security measures to protect federal information systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot federal computer systems and networks.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular backups to ensure data security.
- Provide technical support and training to agency staff regarding hardware and software usage.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all system configurations and changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Knowledge of federal IT security standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal employment.
