Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale government IT projects, from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including federal agencies, local departments, and private sector vendors.
- Ensure strict adherence to government regulations, compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, OMB), and security protocols.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and resource allocation strategies.
- Facilitate Agile and Waterfall methodologies to optimize development processes and service delivery.
- Communicate complex technical and programmatic updates to executive leadership and the public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is required; government project management experience is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing IT projects within the federal, state, or local government sector.
- Proven track record of managing budgets exceeding $5M.
- Strong understanding of government contracting, procurement processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for diverse audiences.
