Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex federal network architectures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor network traffic for security anomalies and respond to incidents 24/7.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new security technologies.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with NIST and federal security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CCNP Security required.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto network equipment.
- Strong understanding of federal compliance standards (FISMA, DIACAP).
