Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain secure healthcare IT systems including EHR platforms (VistA) and network infrastructure
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for 500+ users resolving complex hardware/software issues
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments per NIST standards
- Coordinate system upgrades and patches with minimal service disruption
- Document technical procedures and create user training materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
Qualifications
- Active U.S. security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years supporting federal healthcare IT systems (VistA experience required)
- CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Active Directory
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data protection
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/on-call rotation
