Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT systems including cloud infrastructure and network architecture
- Lead incident response protocols for cybersecurity threats
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks for federal regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national security initiatives
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices
- Oversee system patching and security hardening processes
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT infrastructure management
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud security frameworks
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance requirements
- Ability to obtain DHS-specific certifications within 90 days
