Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime and high security standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA regulations.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders to design scalable IT solutions that meet evolving agency requirements.
- Document all system configurations, security protocols, and incident reports in accordance with strict government standards.
- Install, configure, and patch operating systems and applications to mitigate security risks.
- Mentor junior staff and conduct training sessions on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a federal or government IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with high-level government officials.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
