About the Role:
As a Senior IT Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to project managers and junior staff. You will ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) while delivering innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure and network systems for federal clients.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability testing.
- Oversee the deployment and configuration of hardware and software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Ensure all system configurations adhere to federal security standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation projects.
- Document system architectures and technical procedures for knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting or government IT environments.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and federal compliance regulations (FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
