Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the agency's server infrastructure and network architecture.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal stakeholders and government agencies.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Lead and coordinate IT projects, including software deployments and system upgrades, from initiation to completion.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance assessments, and capacity planning.
- Mentor junior IT staff and foster a collaborative technical environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT project management.
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Deep understanding of network security standards, including CISSP or equivalent certifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various state facilities as needed.
