We are currently seeking a dedicated Federal IT Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our national tax infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations for federal employees.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of federal IT infrastructure, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain federal IT systems and networks to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols in strict compliance with FISMA requirements.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to federal staff, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ITIL-based service management practices.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain cybersecurity hygiene.
- Document technical processes and create training materials for end-users.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation, or Cisco CCNA.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Virtualization technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
