Responsibilities
- Direct the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closing) for federal IT programs.
- Ensure strict compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific policies.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure deliverables meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Facilitate clear communication between government stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional departments to mitigate scope creep.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
- Lead agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing IT projects within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Confluence.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL best practices.
