As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be at the forefront of protecting our nation's critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust IT solutions that meet the highest security standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure federal IT systems and networks in alignment with DOE standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA and NIST requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technology needs and recommend strategic IT improvements.
- Manage system documentation and ensure accurate reporting of IT metrics and performance.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or equivalent certification preferred; CISSP is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and security clearance.
