Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure systems across multiple veteran service platforms
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST cybersecurity protocols for sensitive veteran data
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing new technology solutions for VA benefits processing
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for critical VA applications and legacy systems
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with federal partners on interoperability projects for veteran care coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Expertise in cloud migration (AWS/Azure) and hybrid network architectures
- Proficiency in FedRAMP compliance frameworks and continuous monitoring tools
- Experience with VA-specific systems (e.g., VISTA, EHR) highly preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
