Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring: Oversee the performance and availability of local and wide-area networks during night operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting federal systems with minimal supervision.
- Cybersecurity: Monitor system logs for security anomalies and apply patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- System Maintenance: Perform scheduled backups, server reboots, and hardware maintenance during off-hours.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT activities adhere to federal standards, security protocols, and agency policies.
- Support: Assist internal stakeholders with technical inquiries and provide escalation paths for critical incidents.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this federal position.
- Clearance: Possession of an Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one (SSBI required).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
