Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT infrastructure including cloud systems and networks
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for veterans' healthcare systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate on digital transformation projects for VA services
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance standards
- Mentor junior IT staff through knowledge transfer sessions
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (minimal frequency)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of systems administration experience with Windows/Linux environments
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure cloud services and DevOps tools
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
