Responsibilities
- Manage and secure electronic health record systems (EHR) for 50,000+ veterans
- Implement HIPAA-compliant cybersecurity protocols
- Oversee telehealth infrastructure serving 20+ clinics
- Coordinate with federal CUI/NIST compliance standards
- Lead cloud migration projects using AWS/GovCloud
- Train staff on new VA IT systems and security protocols
- Respond to urgent IT incidents within SLA requirements
Qualifications
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- GS-11 level experience with federal IT systems
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
- Expertise in Cerner EHR implementation
- Experience with FedRAMP/AWS GovCloud environments
- Demonstrated project management for IT rollouts
- Knowledge of VA-specific IT directives (VAOIG-0195)
