Role Overview:
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and maintenance of federal information systems. You will ensure compliance with strict federal regulations while delivering top-tier technical support to agency stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of federal IT infrastructure and networks.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal information security regulations and OMB guidelines.
- Design and implement scalable IT solutions to support federal agency missions.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff within the federal environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Federal Government Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a federal or government contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and federal IT governance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise-level systems (Windows Server, Linux, Cloud platforms).
