Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal IT systems during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 6AM-6PM)
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and respond to real-time threats
- Support system upgrades and compliance audits for federal infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on incident response protocols
- Document system logs and security incidents for federal compliance
- Train junior staff on weekend-specific IT protocols
- Ensure all weekend operations align with NIST and FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of IT infrastructure experience in federal/government environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network monitoring
- Ability to work independently during weekend rotations
- Strong written communication for federal documentation
