The Role
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver to manage helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain the integrity of our network infrastructure during night operations.
Responsibilities
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues for federal employees with minimal supervision.
- Incident Management: Manage a high volume of IT support tickets through the Service Desk portal, prioritizing based on business impact.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, patch management, and system logs during the night shift to prevent downtime.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all IT activities adhere to federal security protocols and NIST guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Public Trust or Secret clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency in remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, LogMeIn) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
