Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, health, and security alerts 24/7 to ensure uninterrupted federal operations.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues for federal personnel.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce strict security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to potential security breaches.
- Data Management: Perform regular data backups, system updates, and patch management during low-traffic periods.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical response to system outages and downtime events, minimizing impact on agency services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain one (US Citizenship required).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration within a government or corporate environment.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to leadership.
