Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to federal staff via phone, email, and in-person at the San Antonio facility.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
- Assist in the maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and user interactions in the IT service management system.
- Collaborate with the federal IT team to implement security protocols and compliance measures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background check required for federal employment.
