Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues within a secure federal facility.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals for federal staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal IT security protocols, including NIST guidelines and agency-specific policies.
- Assist in the deployment of software updates and security patches to protect sensitive data.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with the IT leadership team to identify areas for process improvement and system optimization.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, and basic network administration (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Familiarity with federal security compliance standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171) is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or background check as required by the federal contract.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
