Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal agency IT infrastructure, specifically during weekend operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues for federal employees.
- Monitor system performance and security logs to ensure compliance with federal security protocols (NIST).
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of end-user devices, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the on-call team during high-availability periods to ensure minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles within a federal government or defense contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during weekend shifts.
