Responsibilities
- Manage and secure VA's electronic health record systems (VistA) ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Implement cybersecurity protocols for sensitive veteran data
- Coordinate IT infrastructure upgrades across 5+ medical facilities
- Train staff on new healthcare technology systems
- Collaborate with federal agencies on national health IT initiatives
- Resolve complex system outages within SLA requirements
- Develop disaster recovery plans for critical healthcare systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years managing federal healthcare IT systems
- VA VistA/EHR certification or equivalent
- CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience with FedRAMP compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated crisis management in healthcare IT
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
