Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage network operations center (NOC) systems during night shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal clients.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues reported after hours.
- Perform routine security patching, system backups, and configuration updates to maintain compliance.
- Escalate critical incidents to on-call engineers during the shift handover process.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Conduct nightly system health checks and generate performance reports.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) reliably.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal clearance eligibility.
