Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical nursing care to veteran patients with complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize advanced nursing skills in acute care, chronic disease management, and health education
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using VistA system
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare regulations and VA policies
Qualifications
- Active unrestricted RN license in New York State
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in acute care settings
- Certification in relevant specialty (e.g., CCRN, ONC)
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
