Responsibilities
- Review and process pension benefit applications with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Calculate retirement benefits based on federal guidelines and individual service records.
- Ensure strict compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and other federal regulations.
- Conduct audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and beneficiaries regarding inquiries.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to update pension plan documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, federal benefits, or retirement planning.
- Strong understanding of ERISA, FERS, and CSRS retirement systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension administration software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with the utmost confidentiality.
