Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily administration of federal pension plans, ensuring accurate processing of contributions, benefits, and withdrawals.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including ERISA, FICA, and IRS rules governing retirement plans.
- Analyze complex pension data to resolve discrepancies and provide detailed reports to stakeholders and government agencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for federal retirees regarding inquiries about eligibility, vesting, and payout calculations.
- Collaborate with actuaries and financial advisors to conduct periodic plan valuations and audits.
- Update and maintain accurate member records and benefit documentation in compliance with privacy laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal government services.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA, 401(k), and other defined benefit or defined contribution plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced experience with HRIS or pension administration software (e.g., Ceridian, SAP).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service.
