Responsibilities
- Calculate and process federal pension estimates and final annuities for retiring employees.
- Provide expert guidance and counseling on retirement eligibility, survivor benefits, and Thrift Savings Plans (TSP).
- Ensure strict compliance with OPM regulations, agency policies, and federal privacy laws.
- Review and verify retirement applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with HR teams to resolve complex pension discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all pension transactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension management, or human resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and OPM retirement regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
