Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of multi-employer and single-employer pension plans for regulatory compliance
- Investigate participant complaints and fiduciary breaches with meticulous documentation
- Develop compliance guidance materials for plan sponsors and trustees
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and corrective measures
- Analyze complex pension plan structures and financial reporting requirements
- Represent EBSA in stakeholder meetings and industry conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or ERISA compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRC 412, and Pension Protection Act regulations
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pension valuation software (e.g., Milliman, Willis Towers Watson)
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements and actuarial reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
