Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with strict regulatory compliance
- Conduct eligibility determinations, benefit calculations, and retirement counseling
- Manage pension fund investments ensuring fiduciary responsibility and risk mitigation
- Develop policy recommendations for pension system optimization
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury on retirement legislation implementation
- Lead audits and compliance reviews for multi-state pension portfolios
- Train federal employees on retirement planning and benefits enrollment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience (federal preferred)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, TSP, FERS/CSRS regulations
- Professional certification (CEBS, ASPA, or CFA) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in federal benefits systems (e.g., EBIS, BENEFITS)
- Exceptional analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Experience leading cross-functional pension projects
