Responsibilities
- Plan Administration: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of federal pension plans, including eligibility verification and benefit calculations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pension activities strictly adhere to ERISA guidelines and federal government policies.
- Claims Processing: Review and process retirement benefit claims, pension adjustments, and survivorship requests with high accuracy.
- Data Integrity: Maintain and update employee pension records in the federal database, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Client Advisory: Provide expert guidance to federal employees and retirees regarding pension inquiries and retirement planning strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, federal benefits, or actuarial science.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal retirement systems, FERS, CSRS, and ERISA regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal case management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and superior communication skills.
